It's a long time since I used this Blog so it's time to fire it up again.
Anyone in Manchester during August 2017 should visit the Art Gallery and see the wonderful Shirley Baker exhibition.

Yorkshire 2013-04 - Knaresborough - Blind Jack Metcalf

These Yorkshire photos were taken as part our last weekend away with the Leica Fellowship. These photos are of Knaresborough which is a fascinating town with lots of photo opportunities. This is the sculpture of Blind Jack Metcalf - a famous 18th century road builder.

We visited the RAF Museum and Scampton earlier this week which is full of fascinating exhibits showing the history of the RAF.  It also shows warplanes of all sides in major conflicts and has some fascinating and moving 'social histories' about the major aspects of war.

In January we went to see the awe-inspiring Ansel Adams exhibition, the thought provoking William Klein Exhibition and the missable Moriyama exhibition.  This gave the opportunity for a few photos and you can see more on my flickr site:

We have recently joined the Leica Fellowship and the Society organises weekends away every six months. We meet a smashing group of people who are becoming our friends and see an interesting part of the country.  The last weekend was on Anglesey.
